What Web4 will do for online education

Online education is on the cusp of a sea change as Web4 is expected to be developed in 2025. It’s in its nascent stages now, but in the first quarter of 2025 eight co-founders are expected to launch the first Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

Web4 is the next major evolution of the internet—one that replaces outdated web pages, emails, and digital intermediaries with intelligent, decentralized Web4 AI agents that will revolutionize security, economy, and communication.

What is Web4?

Web4 is an AI-driven, decentralised ecosystem where every person, company, and government has an autonomous Web4 AI agent that acts on their behalf. Unlike Web2, which relied on static web pages and centralised platforms, Web4 empowers individuals with their own AI, capable of real-time, secure communication, transactions, and decision-making.

How Web4 AI agents work

  • Autonomous and secure: Web4 AI agents are owned by users, also corporations, governments can own Web 4 AI agents. All data, contracts, and transactions remain in your control.
  • 24/7 personal protection: if someone harms you—physically, mentally, or financially—your Web4 AI can alert other AI agents, ensuring action is taken instantly.
  • AI-to-AI communication: Web4 AI agents talk to each other on your behalf, handling transactions, legal contracts, and urgent safety concerns without human delay.
  • Integrated crypto economy: your Web4 AI has a built-in crypto wallet that can transact securely, paying bills, receiving salaries, and handling taxes—all with your consent.
  • End of bureaucracy: governments will adopt Web4 AI agents for seamless tax collection, law enforcement, and citizen protection, reducing inefficiencies and corruption.
  • A new digital economy: Web4 enables businesses to sell ”automatically”, with AI agents negotiating, closing deals, and ensuring payment—all autonomously. You will still give the consent to sell and review the pitches and overview and set goals and more. Web4 also presents new dimensions to sales; as a politician or news agency you can ”sell” ideas and be endorsed.

Web4: The ultimate communication revolution

Web4 AI agents will talk directly to other AI agents—whether it’s negotiating a business deal, securing medical aid, or ensuring justice for victims. This AI-to-AI interaction replaces the fragmented nature of Web2 with continuous, intelligent, and automated communication.

How Web4 will change business and government

Every company, government, and individual will have the ability to customize their Web4 AI agent, just like they could design web pages in Web2. The difference? The coding will be done where it belongs, code executing can be held accountable, the Web4 AI agent is responsible, the actions of the code will be remembered in Web 4 AI agents, your Web 4 AI agent will charge people in crypto, and it can pay people in crypto—it’s instant, secure AI-driven interactions.

Launching Web4: A Historic Moment for Humanity

The first MVP of Web4 will be released within the first 2 months of 2025, by several co-founders. It will prioritise personal protection features for conflict zones and vulnerable individuals, and cyber security. By the end of 2025, Web4 will have integrated sales, contracts, and much more.

What does it mean for online education?

According to authors Tejas S. Yadav, Mohd Zaid Khan and Mohammed Kaif Tungekar, in the International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology Web4 “will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of online education. With the advent of Web 4.0, characterised by advanced semantic capabilities, ubiquitous connectivity, and intelligent data processing, e-learning experiences have the potential to become more personalised, interactive, and engaging.”

Web 4.0 aims to transform education by utilising technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI). Learner behaviour and preferences are analysed by AI algorithms, which facilitate the development of customised learning pathways and content recommendations based on individual requirements, the research says.

As online learning, or elearning, has developed over the years, in line with the development of the internet, traditional providers continue to lag behind educators in the online space. The online course www.learnbusinessenglish.net changes that paradigm.
